The North Okanagan region is known for its strong and vibrant artistic community with artists working in a variety of traditional and contemporary media. The Vernon Public Art Gallery is the largest not-for-profit art gallery in the North Okanagan serving its citizens and artists since 1945. In addition to the community-based artistic projects, the exhibitions created by the Gallery offer a critical selection of contemporary art by established, mid-career and emerging artists.
